The property is situated in rolling countryside midway between Edinburgh and Glasgow. it is close to both the M8 and M9, giving easy access to both of Scotland's major and historic cities. In addition to the excellent road links there are railway stations at Linlithgow and Polmont with regular services to both Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The whole of central Scotland can be toured from the house.
Maddiston and Blackness are the nearest villages which provide a wide range of local shops.
Linlithgow is three miles away and boasts a traditional village style High Street as well as Tesco, Sainsburys and Aldi.
Linlithgow has many historic places, including the palace of Mary Queen of Scots. There is boating on the loch.
The Union canal connecting Edinburgh and Glasgow passes a five minute stroll away and provides both pleasant walks and the opportunity to take a boat in either direction.
